From the Director
Happy New Year! Speaking of “New,” what’s “New” at the library? Passes to the Museum of Science and Technology (MoST) in Syracuse, that’s what! You can now check out passes to this museum, and over 200 other parks and museums, with your library card!
Okay, so 200 seems like a lot, but I checked the math and this number is accurate. First, there is the aforementioned MoST pass, which grants access to two adults and any accompanying children. Then there’s the Fenimore and Farmer’s Museum passes (that’s TWO museums), similarly offering access for two adults and up to four children. Then you have the Stone Quarry Hill Art Park passes out in Cazenovia - this gives you parking access to the site. Then there’s the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute, which allows two adults and accompanying children access to their featured exhibits BUT ALSO gives access to 18 additional museums throughout the State. We also have the Explore Outdoors Pass, which gives you access to six Onondaga County parks including the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, and finally, the Empire Pass, which gives you free parking to more than 180 State parks!
Aside from the MoST pass, all these other passes have been around for a while. I’m telling you this because according to checkout statistics, only a handful of you know that we have them available! If you would like to learn more about what passes we have, stop in the library or visit us online at hamiltonlibrary.org/museum-passes/.
Oh, and one more thing about the museum passes - these amazing places don’t offer us free admission. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library through your donations. So thank you and the Friends for making this collection possible.
Thank you for reading!
Highlights from last month

December was a busy month for us. We had toddler play date, made pinecone birdfeeders and gingerbread houses, and had a full house at Santa Storytime!
