From the Director
Happy New Year! While the New Year is certainly a reason to celebrate, January 1 is special to me at the Hamilton Public Library because it’s my work-iversary! This January marks seven years since I started in our quaint little village, and I’m still grateful for the opportunity to serve our community in this role. Thank you so much to the staff, Board of Trustees, Village Administration, Friends of the Library, and the patrons for supporting the Library throughout my time here, and I look forward to many more years to come.
It’s been exciting seeing the library change throughout (almost) the last three-quarters of a decade. From the early days of moving the DVD shelves to the recent addition of DVD shelves, there’s always something changing around here, and not just in terms of DVD shelving! We have added ice skates, video games, museum passes, and more to our collection, eliminated late fees, started home delivery, and collaborated with dozens of area businesses and nonprofits throughout.
The future is always uncertain, but with your continued support, the library will support you right back as we move into the back half of the Roaring ‘20s.
Thank you for reading and supporting the Hamilton Public Library over the past seven years and beyond!
