Our budget passed!

Our School District Tax Levy was approved, which increases our budget by a whopping 22%. In addition to keeping up with the rising costs of labor and materials, this will enable us to promote Marie Moren from part- to full-time Events Coordinator! All of us are excited for this change, which has been a long time coming and goes into effect immediately.

It is wonderful to serve a community that recognizes the need for our services, and continues to support us year after year. In fact, our budget has passed every year we have introduced the School District Tax Levy, as far back as 2010! This year, we also received a 5% increase to our budget from the Village of Hamilton.

Thank you to the Village administration and voters of the Hamilton Central School District for continuing to support us all these years.

On an additional supportive note, I want to once again thank the Chamber of Commerce for selecting us as recipients of their funding from the Chamber of Commerce 5K. Money raised from this event will go towards purchasing outdoor recreation equipment for the entire community, which will be available here at the library!
