From the Director
Do you know about WOWbrary? Well, if you visited our website or follow us on social media, you may be familiar without even realizing it. WOWbrary is the software we use to advertise everything new that we add to our collection each week - so if you want to keep up with the latest books, movies, magazines, and audiobooks of all types and reading levels, you may want to take a closer look! The easiest way to find it is to go to our website (hamiltonlibrary.org) and scroll down a little bit. You’ll see a little rectangular box titled “Newest+Arrivals” and click “More.”
Clicking “More” will take you to WOWbrary, where you can see what we added to our collection this week! Search by subject, then just click “borrow” to be taken to our catalog where you can place your hold. It’s that easy! But wait, there’s more! You could skip the whole first part (going to our website) and just subscribe to a weekly newsletter of all our new items. When you’re visiting WOWbrary, just click ‘Sign Up’ at the top of the page and follow the prompts.
Now let’s talk about Amazon! Sorry for the abrupt transition, but these two things are related, so bear with me. WOWbrary is not a free service, but it could be, if enough of our patrons who already shop at Amazon do so through the link on our website.
By following the link (the little Amazon logo at the bottom of our homepage), you will be taken to a WOWbrary landing page and a button that reads, “Shop at Amazon.” There’s a brief explanation of how this works, but all you need to know is that by using those two little clicks, Amazon will donate about 2% of the cost of your purchase towards our WOWbrary subscription. Since Amazon has ended ‘Amazon Smile,’ this may be a good opportunity to still use their service for some good. Note - this is NOT an Amazon Smile partnership, but WOWbrary is simply an Amazon Associate which sounds the same but is different for reasons I do not fully understand.
That’s it for this month, thank you for reading!
Highlights from last month

We had a very busy month in February! We built a communal Lego project during Lego Day, finished the Llama sticker poster, learned some coding at Afterschool Program, made cloud viewers and a football helmet craft!
